Aroma• Subtle Healing
Aromatherapy – What it actually is.
It is a form of complementary medicine, while Western Herbal Medicine or Ayurveda uses the healing power of the entire plant; Aromatherapy uses only the essential oils derived from specific parts of the plant.
Aromatherapy has aesthetic and medical uses. Aesthetically it can be used for skin, hair and beauty care, daily wellbeing and natural fragrance. Medically it can be used to relieve physical, physiological and psychological imbalances. It complements conventional medicine.
The majority of modern diseases have a mind connection and are psychosomatic (PSD) in nature. The essential oils used in aromatherapy support the immune system, principally all essential oils are therapeutic in nature, some are anti-fungal, rejuvenating, hormone-balancing, diuretic or have other specialised properties.
All essential oils help to balance emotions and are known to have stimulating, uplifting, relaxing or euphoric qualities. They also act at a psychological level stimulating and enhancing memory. Healers use it for strengthening the aura and deepening their meditation practices. Some essential oils have cell regenerating and immunity boosting effects.

How does Aromatherapy work?
This form of complementary medicine harnesses the healing power of essential oils and elixirs are created per symptoms being treated. The oils work on the human body at physical, physiological and psychological levels.
- Psychological – when we inhale fragrances, the aroma is absorbed by hair like cilia located on the roof of our nose, information is transmitted to the brain via the olfactory nerve and passed on to the limbic system which then triggers the release of neurotransmitters. Hormones so triggered and released by the pituitary gland make us feel relaxed, calm, euphoric or sleepy.
- Physical/Physiological – When we apply diluted essential oils/elixirs its is absorbed via skin and it reaches the circulatory system. Carried by circulating blood to entire body we feel more therapeutic benefits like boosting immunity, improving organ functions and keeping infection away.
- Biofrequency – Essential oils are the most natural way to increase the human body’s electrical frequency. A healthy body is said to have a frequency ranging from 62 to 78 megahertz (MHz) and if it drops below 58MHz disease sets in. You will be surprised to know that a single negative thought disturbs this level. Essential oils have been found to have a high frequency in the range of 52 MHz – 320 MHz, the highest being the frequency of rose oil. It has been observed that people felt better emotionally, within 1–3 minutes of exposure/inhalation of essential oils, feeling calmer, relaxed and less anxious.
Quality Matters
For optimum results we have used good quality essential oils in all our elixirs, following are factors we have kept in mnd while sourcing same:
- Plant source genotype – Ensuring oils are sourced from a good variety of plant
- Environment in which plant grows – Most of our oils are sourced from pristine natural fields in lower Himalayas where water is pure, air is unpolluted and soil rich in minerals
- Harvesting and processing – Tried and tested methods are followed along with ensuring processing is close to where harvesting is done.
- Storage conditions – Stored in a cool place with even temperature, in glass containers and protected from light.
Carrier Oils
Essential oils need to be diluted and used, carrier oils like almond, apricot, grapeseed, evening primrose, jojoba, olive or sesame are preferred for creating blends. We ensure high quality carrier oils are used in our products.
